I am a Storm Chaser and Chief Technology Officer of SevereStudios, but mostly chase for fun and to help warn people in areas which might be in danger from a storm along with being the eyes and ears of the National Weather Service.
My Grandpa was the City of Lansing emergency manager, and severe weather has always been apart of my fathers life. My father passed this on to me by taking me storm chasing when I was a kid. Of course, storm chasing when I was a kid was much different than it is now. In 2005, I told my dad I was going to get my Amateur Radio license and attend SKYWARN training. He went with me to SKYWARN training and we both passed our Technician class licenses on the same day. Storm chasing is pretty much in my blood at this point.
2008 marks the first year I have been serious about storm chasing. In years past I haven't ventured past the Michigan border for the most part, but in 2008 I have chased in Michigan, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Missouri, Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Kansas, and Nebraska.
